1. Install wicd
First of all install wicd and remove the standard network-manager (if installed) which is an open source wired and wireless network manager for Linux which will be used to configure the wireless adapter.
Use Following Command after Hash(#) or after your prompt sign.
1. root@bt:~# sudo apt-get update
2. root@bt:~# sudo apt-get purge network-manager
3. root@bt:~# update-rc.d -f networking remove
4. root@bt:~# sudo apt-get autoremove
5. root@bt:~# sudo apt-get install wicd
6. root@bt:~# /etc/init.d/wicd start
7. root@bt:~# update-rc.d wicd defaults
2. Determine Your Wireless Card
Now you need to determine the make and model of your wireless card within your system.You can find out by usint below command.
root@bt:~# lspci | grep Network
(will displays thread like displayed below)
